Solution

When Planet E Bikes first contacted us, we knew we wanted to highlight the on-road and off-road capabilities of the bikes. We decided we would film in two very different locations, Oxford city centre and a farm in the countryside, then during the films we’d abruptly cut between the two locations to create a contrast in backgrounds.

The next decision to be made was deciding who would be riding the bikes. The founders were keen to feature in the films, and they were also keen to feature a wide range of ages riding the bikes. In total we filmed over 10 individuals of different ages and genders, the youngest in their early teens and the eldest in their 60s, to highlight how the bikes are suited to all age groups.

Production consisted of 3 days, one day in the countryside, one day in central Oxford, and the third day on location in a barn to film the product shots. We produced a total of 8 films for Planet E Bikes which they will be releasing throughout 2021 and 2022.
